  • Greed

They got very greedy very fast. You used to be able to play for free and do well, now you have to spend money and not just a small amount of money. The rng is straight garbage, teams I’m playing against get the positive side of rng and my teams get the negative side. Bugs have that make the game freeze in the middle of a 20+ min fight is very frustrating. This game is going downhill fast. Alliances are falling apart because a huge amount of players leaving at once because they are sick of this game. I’ve seen this before with other marvel games. Just not this fast. I thought they could turn it around, but it’s probably too late now. Greed got the best of them.

Been playing since global launch. Love the game because I love Marvel. Red stars have added a nice feature but made the game worse at the same time. Haven’t opened anything above a 2 red star in about 3 weeks now(25+ orbs). They expect you to fight teams of 10-15 characters at 5-7 red stars characters while your team is built up with 5 2-4 red star toons. Guess they want you to buy more energy and heals so they increase their profits. I’m a bit of a spender and have probably spent $300+ on red stars since they came out. That along with all the free ones I’ve probably opened 400 orbs or so and I have 1 6 red star character, a few 5 red star characters, and the rest are 2-4. Just makes it hard to compete. I strongly suggest not buying the red star offers since they are expensive and very rarely give you anything useable. I’ll buy more when the system is improved.
  • In game support is useless, game continues to have simple fixes ignored over money grabs

There are several long standing issues that have yet to be fixed. Accidental purchases with in game currency still can happen often with zero changes in sight, a support ticket won’t change this either. You just get a run around of why they can’t do anything and that feedback has been heard. The game constantly rolls out new characters due to being able to offer in game purchases but is slow to fix known bugs, crashes, UI errors. More time is focused on creating the next money offer and seemingly none on fixing faulty code. This game started as a time sync, and has evolved into a money sync. All the whole players continue to funnel money into the game so feedback/criticism falls on deaf ears.
  • Had Potential

I honestly feel bad for some of the development team. The animations and character models are very satisfying as a Marvel fan. But whoever is behind the monetization has to be a bit of a villain to at least some of the team that must have some kind of bad taste in their mouth from how this is playing out. As a big Ghost Rider fan his release brought me back in to what I hoped was an improved game from when I tried it last but every part of it feels like it screams greed. I expect that from some mobile games at this point, but I had hope for this one. Maybe I still do, someone update me when there is promising change if it ever happens.

I love this game! It’s so well rounded, I get to collect and focus on characters I really want, I’ve put about six months into the game and my roster has come together really well. I will say if you don’t have any money to spend on the game, it can get really discouraging always being a few steps behind everyone else, but if you do your daily objectives and stay patient it’s really fun to earn your way through. The alliance raid and war feature allows me to connect and play with family members that I don’t get to see often due to distance, which makes the whole experiences just that much better. Definitely a lot of fun, although I would play even more if resources were made easier to come by without spending large amounts of money.
  • Crashes more often than not

A good game in theory, but game play is boring, repetitive, and limited time events where you can collect shards of characters makes the app crash all the time. The one I’m currently playing is Elsa Bloodstone, and I can’t get past the 2nd level on any degree of difficulty because it crashes. When you open prize orbs, it crashes. Contacting support, they just give you a generic “close all background apps, and if that doesn’t work, delete the app and reinstall.”

If you mistakenly purchase something customer support won’t help you. They’ll say they can’t even though they could, they just won’t. Great for free to play, but don’t trust them to be reasonable if you make a mistake. They haven’t been reasonable with me and won’t be with you.

I adore the strategy in building a team with the synergies they bring. It’s fun wrestling with choices like choosing between a high offense team or a team that all synergiezes well together! I enjoy being able to choose my favorite marvel characters and see them battle against characters they would normally never fight! I love the fights that have specific objectives as those are much more of a challenge instead just a straight fight! I love the stories that are all so well thought out!! It’s a lot from a phone game
